‘Journey of Change’
‘Retrospective Bruges to Casuarina’.  This exhibition is now over.  Thank you to everyone that visited our exhibition at stunning venue.  The Casuarina Retreat has been sold.  At this stage we do not know what the new owner will do with the property.

the retreat is open through the holidays and Svein will be in residence weekends and a few hours in the afternoon week days.

Casuarina Ocean Retreat, set in nature and beach with the sound of rolling surf is the setting for the Koningen Exhibition,   Journey of Change’ – Retrospective Bruges to Casuarina.
Entering the spacious open reception, we are met with the painting, “Midsummers Series, Blue Moon” and the brilliant complex Midsummers Solstices, and so, the journey begins.  Paintings that remind us of the sea to the more intricate “Colours”  and soft hues of “Winters Beach” plus much more!

Change is a constant for this artist.
Past studios in Melbourne, Brisbane and the very successful Living Studio Gallery in Noosa Heads, 1997 – 2005.

• Relocating in 2005 to the stunning UNESCO BELGIUM city of Bruges in Belgium.  Koningen’s studio quickly became the must visit for locals and international art lovers.
• Closing his Bruges studio in 2016, this being a heart decision coming back to Australia for family and friends.
• Melbourne Studio 2017 – 2018 created the Midsummers Series from his studio in Yarraville.
• Moved to Casuarina, New South Wales in northern Australia, in mid 2018 – clean air surf side living.
